Our story traces the growth of a small business into one of the largest fashion retail groups in the world.
1971
Operations were began as Hwayo Garments Manufacturers Company
Ladies garments were manufactured and finished products were wholesaled to departmental stores by a sole proprietorship.
1973
Expansion
Textile trading was expanded.
1975
PADINI was founded
The company’s pioneer brand, PADINI
entered the retail industry.
1981
VINCCI was launched
The brand VINCCI was created to market ladies
shoes, bags, belts and other accessories.
1987
Kid wears were launched
Children wear was launched under MIKI brand.
1988
Consignor market was entered
All brands were switched from wholesaler to consignor.
1990
Seed was launched
Seed was created to distribute contemporary fashion.
1991
Home Stores Sdn Bhd (50202-A) was established
As a holding company for the Group’s retail, wholesale
and manufacturing business.
1992
Home Stores Sdn Bhd(50202-A) was changed to Padini Holdings Sdn Bhd(50202-A)
First of the group single brand retail store.
First Seed store
Seed was opened at Sungei Wang Plaza.
1993
Padini Authentics was launched
Padini Authentics was created to market quality casual wear.
1998
Padini Holdings Berhad(50202-A)
was public listed
Padini Holdings Berhad (50202-A) was listed on the
Second Board of Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange
(now Bursa Malaysia).
1999
P&CO and PDI were launched
The brand P&CO was created to market a label for the individualistic fashionista; PDI was the perfect
style companion for all walks of life.
First Padini Concept Store
The first of the Group’s multi-brand shops, the Padini Shop, opened in City Square of Johor Bahru. The 11,000 sqft store showcased merchandise from Padini, SEED, PDI, Vincci,
and P&Co.
2000
Brunei market was entered
Vincci was opened the first foreign store in Brunei.
Seed Cafe was launched
The Group was ventured into the food and beverage
industry with SEED Cafe.
2001
Thailand market was entered
Vincci was opened the first store in Thailand.
2003
Philippines and Saudi Arabia market were entered
Vincci was opened the first store in Philippines and Saudi Arabi.
2004
Main board was entered
Padini Holdings was transferred of listing and quotation into
the Main Board of Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange
(now the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia).
2005
Indonesia, UAE and Cambodia market were entered
Vincci was opened the first store in Indonesia, United Arab Emirates and Cambodia.
2006
Brands Outlet was launched
First Brands Outlet was opened in December.
2007
Oman market was entered
Vincci was opened the first store in Oman
2009
Syria market was entered
Vincci was opened the first store in Syria.
Interbrand recognition of our sustainability work
Padini Group was recognized as one of Malaysia’s
Top 30 Most Valuable Brands and valued by
Interbrand at RM245 million.
2010
Qatar and Pakistan market
were entered
Vincci was opened the first store in Qatar and Pakistan.
2011
Bahrain, Egypt and Morocco market were entered
Vincci was opened the first store in Bahrain, Egypt and Morocco (North Africa).
2012
Myanmar market was entered
Vincci was opened the first store in Mynmar.
Tizio was launched
Tizio, a new brand was launched in November.
2017
Cambodia market was expanded
The group has grown its regional presence by expanding into Cambodia with the first store in Phnom Penh.
2019
Thailand market was expanded
Vincci ventured into Thailand with in change of ownership model by having the first store in Bangkok.
2020
Started selling via Lazada, Facebook Live and Shopee
Shop with ease through new online channels.
2021
Padini App was launched and expended
Unveiled our mobile app and expanded e-commerce to Singapore.
2023
Sustainability series were launched
A visionary stride towards eco-conscious fashion, weaving style with environmental responsibility.
